You might be wondering ... Who is this new kid on the block? Let us tell you a little about ourselves. At Westsong Community Church we are proud of our heritage. You can find our doctrinal statement here. And you can download a helpful booklet that discusses doctrines in everyday language. It's called Salvation Story.
We are a local church of The Salvation Army in the beautiful West Shore of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
"You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name."

Many people know about our vast network of social services. From disaster relief to help for the homeless, from community food banks to drug and alcohol rehabilitation centres the Army ministers to countless Canadian families each year.
People often say to us, "You do good work." And we appreciate the kind words. But we're anxious for you to know that what we do arises directly out of who we are. We are followers of Christ who put our faith into action to help others.
For us it's always been about Meeting God, Meeting Friends and Meeting Needs!
The Army serves in over 100 countries around the world (119 as of January 2010). The majority of our people can be found in Africa and India. Our international leader is General Shaw Clifton at the headquarters in London, England. To read and be encouraged by the General's Pastoral Letters, please click here.

They raise their voices, they shout for joy;
from the west they acclaim the LORD's majesty.
Therefore in the east give glory to the LORD;
exalt the name of the LORD , the God of Israel,
in the islands of the sea.
Isaiah 24:14-15
