Our purpose
is the be a God-glorifying fellowship of people
who are prepared by the Holy Spirit
to reach out, bring in and build up
our neigbours so that they too will follow Jesus Christ.
Our mission statement takes the five fundamental purposes of the church
and puts them into language that is easy to remember.
We speak about exalting or worshipping God,
since we exist to glorify him.
We emphasize our giftedness by the Holy Spirit,
so that we are not only equipped for action,
but also ready to give ourselves to others in his service.
We speak of evangelizing people that is, sharing God?s good news with them,
and of enfolding them into our fellowship,
and of edifying them in their Christian walk.
Jesus said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:18-20)
